Meet Majken
Majken started as an intern and today she is Business Coordinator at EasyRecycle – and she loves the responsibility and the pace that come with it.
With a background as a store manager in the pet trade, she changed tracks and threw herself into B2B sales, where she develops every day and creates value for both customers and colleagues. Outside work you will find her in the woods with the dogs, at a concert with good music, or playing badminton and training – always with a smile and a glint in her eye.
How long have you been part of EasyRecycle?
I have been part of EasyRecycle for two years, and my journey here started with an internship that gave me the chance to try my hand in a completely new industry. Stepping into a world I did not know beforehand was an exciting challenge – but it has turned out to be exactly the right choice. I spent most of my adult working life as a store manager in the pet trade, so moving to EasyRecycle marked a new chapter for me, both professionally and personally. Today I have landed somewhere I really enjoy – and where I have built solid experience with both administrative work and the Business Coordinator role. I love my new challenges and thrive on the responsibility and the pace that come with the job, especially working with B2B sales, where I get to develop and create value every day.
What is the best thing about working at EasyRecycle?
One of the best things about working at EasyRecycle is the combination of interesting work and a strong sense of community. I work mainly with B2B sales, and there is a particular satisfaction when a job comes off and you can see the results of your effort. There is a lot of freedom with responsibility here, which leaves room to grow both professionally and personally – and the hours make it possible to find a good balance between work and life. What really makes the difference day to day is good colleagues. We pull together, share what we know and back each other up, which creates a place where you feel at home and get sharper at your job every day.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time outdoors – especially walking my dogs in the woods or along the beach. It gives me calm and fresh energy. I also love going to concerts and hearing live music, and I happily travel south to enjoy the sun and recharge. Beyond that I stay active with badminton and strength training, and I really value time with family and friends – those are the moments that bring balance and make life that bit better.
Which project has been the most satisfying to work on?
The most satisfying project for me has clearly been the move from B2C to B2B sales – from selling to private customers to working with businesses. It has been an exciting journey to learn from, and one where I have genuinely developed both professionally and personally. Going from a management role in an industry I knew inside out to suddenly being new in a completely different field took adjustment, courage and, not least, a willingness to change. But that process is exactly what has given me new energy and a deeper understanding of sales in a broader context. It has been challenging – but above all incredibly rewarding – and today I stand stronger, with new skills and real pride in the journey I have been through.
